This 2-hour 100% pathway bike tour offers the best of Ottawa/Gatineau 200th Anniversary.

We commence with the sights and story behind the Parliament/Senate of Canada, The bike path through Majors Hill Park then leads to Alexandra Bridge, Ottawa River and Chaudière Falls that separate Ottawa and Gatineau. Next to Dow’s Lake passing by Little Italy, the charming 100-plus-year-old Italian community. Finally, we’ll ride down the Rideau Canal, a world-renowned canal, to make our way back to our starting location.

Our tour guide is attentive to participants age and ability that can impact speed and duration. Ebikes are an option if necesssary.

We’ll be starting the tour near the end of the Rideau Canal at RentABike’s conveniently located shop. No roads or traffic

Stop by the Parliament of Canada to see and learn about the historic building


03. Ottawa River

Ride alongside the paved paths of the Ottawa River to make your way to Chaudiere Falls.


04. Chaudière Falls

Watch and learn about the Ottawa-Gatineau Chaudière Falls and its contribution to clean energy

05. Little Italy

Cruise by Ottawa’s Italian community and discover the what the well-known dining neighbourhood has to offer.


06. Dow’s Lake

Make your way around Dow’s Lake while riding on a boardwalk and bike path.

07. Rideau Canal

Slowly make your way back by following the world-renowned Rideau Canal.

08. Rideau Canal ( West )

You’ll be finishing your tour near the end of the Rideau Canal at your starting location.
